Preparation of Print Files

When preparing for printing, we want to make sure that the files are ready to go.  We want to make sure that there are no abnormalities within the file, and that you are happy with the proof we have provided.  To begin the process, we will provide you with a proof of your design.  This proof will be a lower resolution image that can be sent over email.  You can then see what your graphic will look like when it is applied to the sign.  Once all of the parties are satisfied with the design, our designer will prepare the file for printing.  

If you are sending a ready to print file, please ask us what file formats work best with the printer.  Certain files like GIF and JPG do not work as well with the digital printer.  The ideal file will be an EPS or TIFF file.  We want to make sure that the files and the resolutions are high enough so you get the most benefit from our state of the art, large format digital printer.  

When printing, the files are sent to a Roland large format digital printer.  Our printer is a CMYK, or four color process printer.  The vivid colors on your digital print are created by using certain color combinations of the four colors: cyan, magenta, yellow, and black.
